HRBR is delighted to welcome Dr Dmitri Wall, Consultant Dermatologist, to the team of hair specialists at HRBR. With the addition of Dr Wall, HRBR will now provide a dermatology clinic offering consultations for patients suffering from conditions of the hair and scalp that may not be suitable for treatment with hair transplant surgery. Patients suffering from forms of hair disease, such as alopecia areata, telogen effluvium and scarring alopecias, can now be expertly treated at HRBR.
Dr Dmitri Wall is a University College Dublin medical graduate. He has worked as a consultant Dermatologist in St James’s Hospital, Dublin. Dr Wall has a sub-specialist interest in hair disease and has worked as a clinical fellow with Professor Rod Sinclair in Melbourne, Australia. His work in Melbourne, in a dedicated hair clinic, attached to a busy clinical trials centre, provided the opportunity to use current and future cutting-edge therapies, that he is excited to introduce to Ireland through his dermatology clinic at HRBR.
Dr Wall says of his speciality;
“I feel that it is essential to have a dermatologist with internationally recognised experience in this area who can ensure that Irish patients have a means of availing of exciting therapies that are emerging from new breakthroughs in the understanding of hair disease pathogenesis.”
Dr Wall has published in a number of journals, such as the Australasian Journal of Dermatology, British Journal of Dermatology and Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, relating to alopecia areata, atopic dermatitis and hidradenitis suppurativa, amongst other topics.
