On Bank Holiday Sunday, 2nd June 2019, members of the HRBR team joined over 30,000 women to participate in the annual VHI Women’s Mini Marathon.
10 dedicated members of the HRBR team took to the streets of Dublin and successfully completed the 10K run. In doing so, they raised almost €3,000 for their chosen charity Epilepsy Ireland.

About Epilepsy Ireland
Epilepsy Ireland was established in 1966 with the goal of improving the quality of life of people with epilepsy in Ireland. It is a cause that is close to our hearts here at HRBR. Epilepsy Ireland is committed to working for and meeting the needs of everyone with epilepsy in Ireland and their families and carers, they provide a range of services from offices across Ireland.
Some of the services include providing support and information, raising awareness and advocating about epilepsy, providing training and education; and supporting epilepsy research.
The Women’s Mini Marathon
The first Women’s Mini Marathon took place in 1983, 9,000 women participated. A staggering 1 million women have entered the event over its 36 years. This year over 30,000 women took to the streets of Dublin, most of the runners, walkers and joggers raise money for charities. An estimated €210m euro has been raised for charity since it began in 1983.
