A picture speaks a thousand words….
When I look at this picture I realise how unhappy I was, I don’t see myself I see an image I don’t like. This went on for too many years. I spent years in despair.
In 2012 I saw an advert on television. It was one I’d seen many times but this day I wrote down the number. I called HRBR. It wasn’t easy to do. I had seen hair transplants that did not look good, would this work for me? Can I afford it? Do I really want it done? I was finding every excuse not to go. But I did go. I didn’t tell anyone where I was going.
All the way to Blackrock I was battling with the no good reason until I arrived at the door and was met by a very warm and welcoming lady who introduced herself as Beverly. I immediately felt that this was right. I was taken to a private room, extremely private. I knew I was in the right place.
My appointment was at 2pm with Mr Maurice Collins and at 2pm Mr Collins entered the room. I had a full consultation with him. It was quite an experience. Questions and answers had to be dealt with. Mr Collins is a very experienced consultant and dealt with the issues I had both emotionally and physically. Emotions I had carried for years were all being put out there.
I can honestly say the journey for me started as soon as he said he could improve my self esteem. My appearance would improve. Mr Collins works on the psychological effects of hair loss as well as the transplant.
The experience has been life changing. I know I haven’t the head of hair I had in my twenties but Mr Collins never promised me that I would. What he did say was that he would make me happy and smile again.
I would thoroughly recommend anyone who is in the same position as I was. Pick up the phone, make an appointment. Have your consultation.
The clinic is world class. Mr Collins and his team are so passionate, its truly amazing.
My first transplant was done in 2012 and in 2013 I had my second transplant. After the procedure you are given strict instructions which are very straight forward. If you follow them you will have no problems with your transplant. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I had no pain just a little discomfort the first night. On my second transplant I went to work 48 hours after it was done. I have never looked back. I saw a massive change. I look in the mirror and for the first time in years I see myself. It’s a powerful thing.
I am a hairdresser, so not only do I look in the mirror every day all day but I deal with the public. Their reaction has been quite funny. So many people have said, not knowing I had a hair transplant, I look really well or they prefer the way I style my hair now. Anyone that knows I have had this done especially in the hairdressing industry have said it’s the best they have ever seen.
I am truly grateful to Mr Collins and his fantastic team. It has been an incredible journey for me and I recommend to anyone to have this done. It’s life changing!
Kindest regards to all at HRBR
